Crosskart Canada is thrilled to announce the arrival of India’s very first purpose-built cross car to North American shores. As part of our ongoing mission to make off-road racing more accessible, we have officially imported the highly anticipated J A Motorsport XCL2.
The biggest news? We are drastically lowering the financial barrier to entry for Canadian racers. While our premium crosskarts typically cost $45,000, the brand-new XCL2 will be available directly through Crosskart Canada for just $25,000.
The J A Motorsport XCL2 was born out of the global motorsport governing body FIA’s (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) ‘Affordable Cross Car’ project. This initiative was designed to lower the entry barrier into racing by providing sporting authorities with specific design blueprints. The goal was to encourage local manufacturing to bring down costs and reduce reliance on expensive international suppliers.
Historically, cross car racing featured senior and junior categories. The FIA has now added two new accessible classes below the top tiers: Level 1 (entry-level for young racers) and Level 2 (intermediate and leisure racing). The XCL2 is built strictly to the FIA’s Level 2 blueprint.
The XCL2 brings serious performance and top-tier safety features to the track at nearly half the price of our other models.
Key Specifications:
- Engine: Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 (liquid-cooled, single-cylinder)
- Performance: 40hp and 40Nm of torque
- Transmission: 6-speed gearbox
- Safety: Roll cage built to strict FIA standards, FIA-homologated racing seats, and a six-point harness
- Handling: Adjustable steering wheel with quick release and a hydraulic handbrake
- Fuel & Rubber: 8-litre fuel tank and MRF cross car tires
Because the majority of the XCL2 is built in-house by J A Motorsport, manufacturing costs remain significantly lower than traditional crosskarts. We are proud to be the first importer to offer this highly competitive, budget-friendly machine to the Canadian market.
